Do I Have the Right Setup for in Home Lessons?
Before starting in home piano lessons, I like to make sure everything is set up for your child’s success. Here’s what to expect:
- Piano or Keyboard Access. A full piano is ideal, but a weighted keyboard with at least 88 keys works well for beginners.
- Quiet Space. Choose a calm, distraction-free area in your home where your child can focus.
- Seating & Lighting. A sturdy chair and good lighting make a big difference in comfort and posture.
- Music Materials. I’ll recommend the right books or practice resources based on your child’s level.
- Preliminary Meeting. Before we begin, we’ll connect either over coffee or a short in-home visit to discuss goals, scheduling, and what to expect. This ensures parents feel confident and students feel excited to start.

For added flexibility, in-home lessons are available in the Windermere & Winter Garden area on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or you can choose studio lessons at my home in Orlando.
